Denplan
Denplan is a private capitation scheme, which for the payment of a fixed monthly fee helps you budget for regular preventive dental care without the fear of costly and unexpected bills. Wellington House Dental Practice is the only Denplan Excel accredited practice in Dereham. Denplan Excel is an advanced accreditation programme for dentists to help support clinical governance and professional regulation.
How does Denplan Cover work?
The scheme is a contract between you and your dentist. Denplan administrate this by collecting your subscription, as an option you can choose that a small part of this is used to pay for insurance cover provided by Denplan and the remainder paid to the practice. If you do not wish to have the insurance, your premium will be reduced by 60 pence per month from your monthly payment. This means that your dentist can concentrate on the continuing needs of your dental health, rather than the actual amount of treatment you may need at any one time. The key advantage being that time can be spent on quality preventive care.

Denplan Essentials* is an easy budgeting plan that covers you for the foundations of your dental care, helping to stop problems before they start. This plan covers you for your regular check-ups and hygienist visits, and you can choose to include worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (Supplementary Insurance)

Denplan for Children
This is a maintenance plan for children, it covers their routine dental health checks, radiographs and hygiene visits. Patients also receive worldwide emergency cover and a 10% discount off treatments.

Denplan Care – is no longer available to new patients – information for existing patients only
Denplan Care is a really easy way to spread the cost of all of your routine treatment into affordable monthly payments, reducing the chance of receiving unexpected dental bills. This plan will cover your regular check-ups and hygiene visits with your dental team, as well as any restorative treatment you may need. Denplan Care also includes worldwide dental injury and dental emergency (Supplementary Insurance).
Denplan Care – your dentist will assess your dental history/carry out a dental assessment before you can join Denplan Care. We need to thoroughly examine your mouth to identify key risk factors** which enable us to assess which payment band you fall in to, and as long as you are dentally fit, you are able to join straight away.
Denplan Care ranges from Band A to E and covers:
- Routine exams
- Hygienist treatment
- Dental x rays
- Necessary fillings
- Necessary extractions
- Root canal treatment
- Necessary bridgework (ex lab fees)
- Necessary crowns (ex lab fees)
- Dentures (ex lab fees)
- Denplan Dental Emergency & Injury cover – you are covered for injury and emergency treatment received in the UK or abroad.
